Training: Echo Park/Angelino Heights/Silverlake

Sharie, Tyler and Jason joined us for a full day of urban hiking. We started at Cafe Tropical for Cuban sandwiches, guanabana shakes and cream cheese guava pastries. The nine-mile route wound through neighborhoods of Echo Park, Silverlake and Angelino Heights. A large bag of sliced fruit with salt and lemon from a vendor in the park kept us going strong. We experienced beautiful views, steep hills, stately old houses, lakes, and a few transvestites. We rewarded ourselves at the Red Lion Tavern with Fransiskaners and sundry pork products, good practice for Spain. See more photos. Click below to see our route.

GUANABANA!
I still don't know what it is?
what about the $5 pitcher? I thought that was the true highlight of whole walk. :)
